Hi. This Bjarton showed up in my shop for repairs. Somebody sat on it and broke a brace and cracked the top in a few places. All easy fixes. It came in the door wrapped in a blanket sticking out of a cardboard box...go figure. Other than that it shows as a well played instrument. Can anybody tell me the year it was made, what is the current market value and any other info about it. As I am in British Columbia, Canada, instruments of this type are very rarely seen by us on this side of the planet. Oh and well to help break the ice...here is a pic of me working on the instrument in my dojo...I mean shop. thank you blessings, the Padma

Hi,
The guitar is a Bjärton Isabella and the year is somewhere 1955-19??. I would guess the year 1955, and would be very surprised if not so.
These 50's guitars are not that rear in sweden but as you said, must be "one in a million" over there.
Say hallo the the lucky owner and tell him please to mail/write here about the guitars history.
