Thanks to this site I have been able to date my Hagstrom as having been built in 1965. It was given to me in 1971 by my parents both of whom are still alive. It was my coming of age (21st birthday present)
I played it for a few years and then got married and it ended up in the loft I was getting something out a few months a go and saw it in the corner. it was crying out to be played.
I had it restored and restrung and it plays beautifully and a has a wonderful action and a glorious mellow tone I have started learning to play again, very difficult as the fingers are nowhere near as flexible as they used to be but I am enjoying playing. I have discovered Acoustic guitar magazine (UK) version which has some lovely guitars and I am waiting for an article about Hagstrom and Bjarton.
If someone will tell me how I can add pictures of the guitar to these emails I will attach these
Keep up the good work
