Hello all. I have recently been given a Hagstrom Guitar. The label inside has the words Bjarton and Hagstrom on it. The model is "Carmencita" and the # is 91352, which dates the guitar as 1967, but I read somewhere on your page that Carmencita models were not introduced until 1971. Another strange thing, all the pictures of Carmencita's I have seen have nylon strings. Well this particular guitar has machine heads for steel strings. Any info greatly appreciated!!
Sorry about the quality of the pictures, If you need any more pics, or pics of specific parts of the guitar, I am happy to take more. Thanks guys, Mel
A very nice guitar. Yes, I wrote that the model was introduced 1971 but as we have been updated with new catalouges and new proof, that information has turned out to be wrong. Your guitar is a living proof of that.
I have a guitar like yours exept the text on the head says Bärton. It also has machineheads for steel strings. It's from 1969. So I gues it's made for steel strings at first? And from early seventies that changes with the coming of a classical guitarhead.
