We just bought a Fender Tarrega Classical Guitar model FT111, serial 50134. I'm trying to figure out if the serial numbers match up with the Bjarton list or not. It looks to me like Bjarton made it and sold it to Hegstrom then to Fender. Any ideas for us? The man we bought it from bought it new but can only remember it was in the 1960s. Thanks!

As far as I can tell, the numbers match, which would make your FT-111 (beautiful model btw) a spring of 1964 guitar. And I think you're absolutely right on with tracking the chain from Fender via Hagström back to Bjärton. So, enjoy your Bjärton guitar!
